By contacting us through MyDORWAY, your message is linked to your account, so we're able to point you in the right direction sooner.

Log in to your account and select the More tab.
On the next screen, select Send the SCDOR a Message, under the Correspondence section.
Response time is typically three business days.

Prepare before you call

When you call the SCDOR, you may be asked to provide the following information:

Your file number, SSN, or FEIN
The relevant SCDOR letter, bill, or notice your call is concerning (if applicable)

A signed Power of Attorney must already be on file with the SCDOR if you are representing someone else.

When to expect longer wait times

To reduce long wait times, listen carefully to our phone options before making your selection, and please note our busiest days and times:

Noon - 2 p.m. (Monday-Friday)
The business day after a holiday
The 20th of the month (when Sales Taxes are due)

Normal phone hours

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday:
8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Wednesday:
9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

We are closed on weekends and state holidays.

Need help checking the status of your refund?

Check your refund status online. Unless your refund status tells you to call us at the number provided, our staff has the same information as the Where's My Refund tool.

Individual Refund

You will need your SSN/ITIN and your exact refund amount.

Business Refund

You will need your FEIN and your exact refund amount.

Resolving common issues

Chat with Dorwin for help if you forgot your password, aren't receiving 2-step verification codes, or can't find your password recovery email.

Click Forgot your password? on the MyDORWAY homepage to reset it
If you forgot your username, you need to create a new MyDORWAY account. The SCDOR cannot send your MyDORWAY username to you. Your account history will be available in your new account once you've validated your identity.
If you are locked out of your account after incorrectly entering your password three times, you can unlock your account yourself by resetting your password. Click Forgot your password? on the MyDORWAY homepage.

The easiest way to make a payment is using MyDORWAY.

To make a payment on an account you manage on MyDORWAY, scroll to the correct account under the Accounts tab, then click Make a Payment.
To make a payment without a MyDORWAY account, pay without logging in by visiting dor.sc.gov/pay.
To make a bill payment, scan the QR code on your notice, and open the MyDORWAY payment portal on your mobile device, or visit dor.sc.gov/pay.

LOGGED OUT PAYMENTS LOGGED IN PAYMENTS

If you made a payment on MyDORWAY, you can check its status online:

If you were logged in when you made the payment:
- Log in and select the More tab. Click Manage Payments & Returns.
- On the next screen, select Payments from the dropdown menu in the Show section.
- You can cancel a pending payment by clicking Pending, then clicking Cancel Payment on the next screen.
- Your payment will show as Posted once it has been processed, which may take a few business days.
If you were not logged in when you made the payment:
- Visit dor.sc.gov/pay and select Find Existing Payment.
- Enter the email address and Confirmation Code associated with the payment and click Submit.
- You can cancel an ACH payment if the payment status is still pending. However, you cannot cancel a credit card payment.
- Your payment will show as Posted once it has been processed, which may take a few business days.
